Adding things to folder view

Is there a way to display the contents of a file system folder underneath a
node in the folder view? I realize I can create new sub folders of the 6
outlook types below any node in the folder view, but can I create windows
explorer views there?
Also can I have node that are just web pages. Currently I create a folder of
one of the outlook types and then change its home page to the web address I
want to see and then make that the default view. This is kind of a Kludge. It
would be nice to see a IE favorites Icon and description as a subfolder node
instead of making an outlook folder misbehave. I have tried using the
file:/// url pre-fix to show a folder but this does not work, though it works
in ie to show a local file folder. Any thoughts?

Why version of Outlook?

No views, but some versions of outlook can be used to browse the file
system.

You can add the favorites to the toolbar and browse in Outlook. Tools,
customize.

Ok. I am running Outlook 2002. I am aware that I can force a file system view
from the outlook bar with a filesystem short cut. Also I am aware I can add a
web tool bar via the customize option. Neither one of these things is what i
would like.

The folderview is the overview of your Outlook information store. I tend to
create Outlook folders that represent projects. I then group seperate
calenders tasks lists and contact as well as multiple incoming mail folders
under these project folders. It would be nice to create sub nodes that had
file system views of the actual files that were being worked on in these
projects as well as reference web pages. As I explained in my last post. I
sort of do a kludge to make the web pages a sub node. It seems like it would
be hard to do what I want to do without some programming. If this is the case
can I create a mock up of what I would like to do and then send it to someone
on the outlook team as suggestion, so that I have a shot of getting my
features into the next version?

File system browsing was removed from Outlook 2003 and it's not expected to
return to Outlook 12, so it's probably a waste of time to mock anything
up... but if you think there is enough of a demand for it that it should be
brought back, you can send it to (e-mail address removed).
