Adding some extra registry settings is not working....

I try to update this registry setting

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\NoDrives
to have a reg_dword value of 4 (Hide the C: Drive)..

But this is not working on the Windows Embedded machine.. Why??

Hi Jonas,

We will need more info about your XPe component configuration.(WinLogon/Minlogon), Explorer/NoExplorer.

And more info about problem. "not working" usually is not enough info to start tracing problem.

I am using the kiosk/Gaming console Design template..with Winlogon and
explorer..

I wan't to make a computer that only has Internet explorer. And nothing
else..that is my ultimate goal..
i am trying right now to restrict the windows to not have any "dangerous"
menys/commandos left. (Shutdown, log off, browse computer, control panel,
task manager, etc.)..trying with this with some reg keys. but they are not
accepted, or they are ignored...

You should use gpedit and regmon to see changes made to registry

How did you acquired this regkey? It looks that it is at the wrong path.
Read Konstantins response on this issue:

For most of the other options I would go by not including options that you won't need, instead of limiting them trough registry.
