Adding Removing Programms

On the Add/Remove screen I have a program called Home Edition anti virus.
When selecting this prog it is highlighted in blue but the option buttons
change/remove do not appear. I have purged the registry and the msconf file
of all refs to anti virus.

How do I remove this entry on the Add/remove screen. I have istalled and
removed the program thru the registry etc but the entry still remains.

Wesley. You are brilliant! You can have Saturday and Sunday off. One of the
articles led me to download Windows Installer Cleanup Utility and it found
the ref: to my problem. All of this started when I was trying to update to
V10 Mcafee Virus Scan. It would not fly because there were residual files
still in the computer that I could not find. Thank you so much.

McAfee and Noton/Symantec are known pigs.

Hi,

I'm experiencing a similar problem right now but can't find a way to fix it.
Some of the programs listed in the Add/Remove section does not have the
Change/REmove tool. How do I bring them back. I tried one of the suggested
solution but can't seem the find the keys mentioned. I would appreciate
further assistance as there are certain programs that I need to uninstall now.
