adding record button

I am new to the access world and I have created a form that has a list
box of entries in a table. I then have a text box with a button. I
want to be able to enter a word into the text box and click add and
have it input in the table and show up in the list box. It appears
that I have to write VBA code to do that. I am not familiar with this
code. If someone could show me some example code of how to do this
that would be great.
