Adding program to registry file

I have a program that I've installed by copying to the Programs directory
manually since I don't have the original discs. It works fine from there,
but isn't obviously on the Start menu.

How can I add the program to teh Start --- All Programs menu?

Right-click the file > Drag it to your start button (pause a couple of
seconds) > Release it where you want > Create shortcut here
