Adding Program for one user

I have a Korean Niece that uses MSN Messenger to
communicate with friends. I have set up a user profile
for her and want to install the Korean version of
Messenger just on her profile, not mine. When I installed
Messenger it showed up on both of our profiles. Can it be
installed to work in only one user profile or am I asking
for the impossible?

Install it only in her program folder. This is one of the choices during installation. For now you have to right click on start then choose explore all users. Now you should see a tree view on the left and a window on the right. Under your c:documents and settings\all users\start menu you will see +programs. This is the all users program folder. Further down you will see a folder with the persons name beside it click the + beside their name and then the + beside start menu and then you will see programs Now if you click the + beside all users\programs and open the programs list you will then be able to click on the program you want to have only in her start menu\programs list and holding the button down drag it to the other program folder and release the button. Drag and drop. That should do it. Next time install only to her program folder c:(users name)\start menu\programs. Good luck.

Messenger installs for all users. What you might do is go ahead and install
it, then use the options in it to disable it from loading at startup. Then
move its start icons from the AllUsers folders to the local folders of the
one user that wants it. These you will find under C:\Documents and Settings.
It will still be available for all, but only that one user will see it.

installed for all users. I think your idea is a workable
