Hello,
I'm not sure if this is where I should ask this, but here goes.

I'm trying to find out where and how I place an application in my A.D. to be
seen by 2000 and XP workstaions.
I'd like the app to be shown in the "Add programs from your network"
section, within the Add New Programs tab in Add or remove Programs.

Does this make sense?

thanks!
Sean

This is done through group policy. If you want users to have the choice of
installing this software or not from the add/ remove programs applet you
need to publish a software package to a group of users via GPO filtering.

Basically, you create a new GPO, publish software through User
Configuration\Software settings (follow steps in the wizard), and only apply
that GPO to a specific group.

The installation *will* occur with elevated privileges so users don't have
to be administrators on the local machine.
