I'm trying to format a timesheet, so that when it adds up
all the hours I've worked on a project, it gives a simple
total in hours and minutes, but when do a simple sum, Excel
converts it to days and hours, or worse still, if i don't
format correctly, simply gets to 24 and then starts from 0
again.

Does anyone know how I format the cell to total all the hours?

Sounds simple I know, but not having much luck here!

Thanks for any help,

Luc

Hi
format your target cell with the custom format: [hh]:mm
this prevents the rollover after 24 hours

Frank,

thx a lot for that. It worked a treat!
