How do you add a contacts listing to a clients outlook
How do you combine contacts in a clients address book with his contacts
listing

Please be more specific about what you mean by "contacts listing" and "a
clients outlook."

When you click on the address book, you see on the right "show names from
the" one of the choices in that box is "contacts". how do you add names from
the address book to the contacts list.

When i say client i mean a customer

The contacts list ***is*** the address book, or at least one of the address
lists visible in the address book. Create new entries in your Contacts
folder or provide a detailed scenario of what exactly you're trying to do.

It is extremely unlikely that you would be able to create a new contact in a
customer's contacts folder.

Ok,

There is the contact list in the outlook bar. there is also the contacts
list within the address book. in other words when you click on the little
phone book in outlook. you can choose which address listing you would like to
see. one of those listings is called the "contact" list. If that choice is
not in the address book, then you right click the contact list in your
outlook bar. chooose properties and then choose the "outlook address book"
tab. you put a checkmark in the box labeled "show this folder as an e-mail
address book" and you type the word "contacts" in the entry labeled "name of
the address book". I have a customer that the "show this folder as an e-mail
address book" is greyed out. i cannot put a checkmark in that little box. to
add "contacts" to his address book.

Also,

I would like to make sure that the entries in the contacts list on the
outlook bar are also listed in the "contacts" list in the address book. the
contacts list in the address book may not have all the same entries as the
contacts list on the outlook bar.

That usually indicates that the Outlook Address Book is not installed in the
mail profile. If you don't know how to add it, tell us your Outlook version.

The address list shown in the address book will list all resolved email
addresses and fax numbers for contacts in a given folder. If you don't see a
name listed there, you'll need to open the corresponding contact record to
see what the problem might be.

Hello,
I just loaded my Microsoft Outlook (for small busniess). I am used to
Outlook express, but this is all different. When I try to create a new
message and click on the "TO" a box opens "Select Names". This box is blank.
I cannot get to the contact list, which has MANY names on it. Any help woul
be great. Thanks in advance.

Hey Brownie,

I dont know why you put your question in my question but, you have to define
your address book in the control panel. goto mail in the control panel. email
accounts, add a new address book. choose additional address book, choose
personal address book. that is assuming you have a *.pab file somewhere on
your computer.

Hey,
I do not know how to installed in the mail profile the Outlook Address
Book. I just got the computer for Christmas. It is Microsoft Office, Small
Busniess Edition 2003 with Busniess Contact Manager. I keep getting a window
pop open when I open Outlook asking if I want to use "Busniess Contact
Manager" I just "X" out of it as I am not sure what that is either. Thanks

To add the Outlook Address Book to your Outlook 2002 profile, choose Tools |
E-mail Accounts. Select "Add a new directory or address book" and then click
Next follow the prompts. You will need to restart Outlook after you do this.
