Adding computers to XP network

I have a 10-station network. Four are running XP Pro, 6 are
running 98SE. One of the XP's holds the main database. I
want to add 2 more computers that will not need access to
the database, but will need to be able to share image files
with some, but not all, of the other computers. The
database "server" will not need to connect to the new
computers. I understand that there is a maximum of 10
"connections" on an XP network, but if not all of the
computers are connected to all of the others, can more than
10 computers be present?

Could I create two workgroups that can still communicate
with each other?

Thanks,
Bill

There's no limit to the number of computers that can be present on the
network. Computers in different workgroups can communicate with each
other.

Only 10 other computers can connect simultaneously to a single XP Pro
computer's shared resources. A computer that isn't actively connected
to shared resources doesn't count against the limit. Creating
additional workgroups doesn't change the limit.
