Is there a way to specify a hard drives Volume Label/ID
when building an XP embedded runtime Image?

Our Embedded solution has one physical hard drive and I
need to put Volume labels on the drive.

Any ideas on how this can be accomplished?

Hi Snaz,

Hard drives do not have volume labels.
Even old volume names stored in first sector of each partition are not longer used by XP/XPe OSes.
Volume labels are stored in FS root directory as special hidden file.

You can call command "label" during FBA. But I fail to see a reason why you can't do this before like on Development Machine.
