I am trying to add a signature to one email account. I can set it up, but
when I tested it out, it will only work on the account I want if it also
applies to the primary account. It automatically applies it to the primary
and when I unselect that account, it won't work on the account that I want
it to.

thx

Outlook 2003? If you want full functionality of per-account signatures, you
need to be using WordMail and assign a signature for every account.

What version of Outlook are you running and what mode (Corp/Workgroup,
Internet Mail Only, etc.) do you have it installed in? If you're not sure,
check Help | About.

Thanks, but what's WordMail?

Sorry - it's Outlook 2003 and it's not a workgroup. No special
considerations - just regular old Outlook 2003. I have "Use Word to edit
and to read rich text" checked.

WordMail = Word as your email editor, an option in Tools | Options | Mail
Format

I do have it checked off, in both places -

And do you have a default signature for every account? Outlook can't switch
signatures when you switch accounts unless you do.

Yes, if you want Outlook to switch signatures on a message when you switch
accounts, you must be using WordMail and you must have a default signature
for each account.
