Hi
I have changed my provider and confiquered outlook to this new e mail
address. I still need to access my old number but would like to download
messages without going to the webmail each time. Can I add the old email to
outlook and download both

If you still have service with the old provider, yes you can. Just leave it
configured (or re-add it if you removed it) and you will download mail from
both accounts.

Yes, the exact steps will be difference depending on the Outlook version.

You would just go into Tools, then the Accounts (or Accounts Settings) and
follow the screen for adding a New Email Account.

There are many options, but the main ones to set are:

Your Name: This will be what the person you send email
would see.
Email Addres: This will be the email address they will
have if they click on repy after reading your email.
Account Type: Most people are using POP3
Incomming mail server: Provided by your ISP.
Outgoing mail server: Provided by your ISP.
User Name: Provided by your ISP.
