Adding a New PC to an Existing Office Network

I am not real PC literate so please bear with me. We have an existing office
network run thru a DSL line modem (ehternet connection). We currently have 6
PC's configured to be tied together in this office network. They are all
running XP Professional (SP1). We are trying to add a new PC that is XP Home
(SP2). We did all the same things (ran network wizard, shared files, etc.)
but it still will not connect. It can connect to the internet but not the
other PCs. The new PC can see no other PC's on the network. The old PC's
can see the new PC but can not access it. We receive the error message "Not
accessable. You might not have permission to use this network resource. The
network path was not found." when trying to access it from the old PCs. But
as I said, the new PC thinks that he is the only one on this network from his
side.
Any clue as to what we are doing wrong or what we need to do to get it
connected? Thanks.

BTW, on reading thru some of these threads I figured I should tell you the
following items.
The new PC running XP Home is a laptop. Under Lan or High-Speed Internet
Network Connections, it shows 3 items. 1394, disabled, firewalled Local
Area Connection, connected, firewalled Wireless Network Connection,
disabled, firewalled.

You are describing a common symptom, which can have various causes. Please go
thru my troubleshooting guide:

For best assistance here, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from 3
computers - the new computer, and 2 other, properly working computers.
