hi-
i am working with MS 2000 with a Linux server. I have made a line
chart and am trying to get a solid horizontal in the chart. I have
temperature data that ranges between 50 to 75 on the line chart and i
want to add a horizontal line in at 64 degrees to act as a guide for
viewers which shows what the maximum temperature should be, not what
it is.

thanks-

You can draw a line with Ms drawing tools. If you take
this route, you need to group the line and chart.

Select the chart, then holding the ctrl key select the
line. On the Draw menu select Group.

The other option is to include 64 in the data series.
Enter 64 in the next column at the first and last data
points and extend the range.

Enter a series with 64's in each cell going out as far as
the temperature data goes. Plot is on the chart and there
is your straight line.
