Will someone please be able to clarify,
What is the use of adding a + in front of a cell reference (ex: +C28) Using
Excel 2003?

Thanking you

Mariyah,

I'm not certain, but I think that is something for a different spreadsheet
application or an older one. Maybe Lotus or older XL. I think some of the
old-timers are just used to it. I see my boss doing that. I don't think it
does anything in XL. It might be similar to starting a formula with an
equals sign.

Nothing at all.
Some former Lotus users still do this.

The + comes from Lotus. It makes no difference whether you use it or not in
Excel 2003 (you probably shouldn't use it; just cleaner).
