Adding a custom background

Is there a way to add a custom background to the Background list? Or, does it have to be added manually by clicking on 'Add Picture From File' for each slide

Using Win 98SE, PP 200

This is where the multiple masters feature is great! Go to VIEW >> MASTER >>
SLIDE MASTER. Insert a new master slide and format with the background image
of your choice (FORMAT >> BACKGROUND >> FILL EFFECTS >> PICTURE tab). Now
while editing slides you can apply this background to any selected slide
from the SLIDE DESIGN - DESIGN TEMPLATES pane!
