Hello, Marvin -

Once you've hit one of the "Reply" options, you can edit email messages by
just placing your cursor where you want to make changes and start typing.
Your name should come up in brackets firstlike this [Marvin]and then you can
type in changes.

If your name doesn't come up first in brackets, you select Tools, Options,
Preferences, E-Mail Options, and check the box at the bottom that says "Mark
my comments with..." You can type in what you want to appear ... your full
name, only your first name, your initials, etc. This can't be done from
within a message - you have to be out at the Inbox level.

Let me know if this doesn't work, or if I've misunderstood your question.

Edit Menu > Edit Message, while the message is open.

Yes, that works too, if your message is in HTML or Plain Text. Usually not
an option, though, if the message is in Rich Text, which a lot of people
still use.

Thanks for the reply.
This was one of the methods to use.
I decided to use the edit message when i opened. I did not know that
it was an option. Many thanks for all the help.
