Add to favorites doesn't stick!

(Office 2003, Win2K Adv Server)
When I select a folder to appear in my favorites, it does so.
However, when I close Outlook and open it up again, it is no longer there!
I have done this dozens of times and would like to know if there is a
fix/explanation.

I have the same problem and it is annoying. I am also unable to
delete an item from the favorites. Forexample I want to see the
Outbox, not the sent . But OUTLOOK will not let me.
 
did you guys upgrade over an older version? if so, did you make a new
profile? also, go into C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook and delete all FAV files.
