Hi there!

If ANYONE can help, it would be highly appreciated!
I have a newly installed copy of windows xp. Everything
WAS working fine but now, if i go to the control panel and
click on add remove software i get this error: Value
Creation Failed " at line 472

Does anyone know how to solve this??

Thanks

Thomas

Do a search for your problem in google groups. Most of the answers on the
first page seemed to suggest it's a problem with windows themes. Try
changing your theme a couple of times then retry to open add/remove.
Post back with your results.

CheshireCat is right.
search google with the string "+xp +parser +410 +error".
This leads to a discussion thread in microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
I copied class_ss.dll and renamed it to shellstyle.dll (as described).
Now my system works
