Add Remove programs Rundll as an App error

After I did the autho update on MSN messenger 6.2 any time I try to go to Add
Remove Programs to make any changes I get a "rundll as an app" error!!
Rather frustrating since I cannot add or remove programs.

I had installed SKype prior to doing that update so it might be Skype that
is causing the error but alas I cannot remove SKype since I cannot get to
that screen

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What happens if you try in the Safe Mode?

I have booted up in the safe mode. Well it boots up in the safe mode with
networking but in safe mode alone it hangs up at a particular file AGP440.SYS.

Regardless after booting in the safe mode I try to go to the add/remove
programs option it still gives me the same error!!

I hope you and everyone else will be able to help me.

Hi,

I looked over the SKype website to see if this may be causing your problem
but didn't find anything. What happens if you click Start_Run and type in
appwiz.cpl and click OK?
