The goof who sold me this computer had a program installed that I can't
seem to delete.

In Add/Remove Programs it shows a location of: logfile 'C:\Program
Files\PTEXAM\ST6UNST.000

Clicking the Change/Remove option gives the message: "Could not Open
logfile".

Originally; before I tried to search for the file in C:\, it showed as 1387
mB. Although the Entry in Add/Remove is still there, the reference to size
is no longer there.

I am running W-XP Home; IE/OE 6, SP2

Is the directory there?
'C:\Program Files\PTEXAM\'?

If not - it may be uninstalled - just still in the registry as installed.

Thanks Shehan;

It isn't in the directory. That is what puzzled me aboutt the entry still
being in the Add/Remove population. I don't know how to track it if it was
moved and renamed.

Part of my thinking is, if programs can be removed, but the listings remain
in Add/Remove, that menu could become very confusing and misleading after a
while. Is there a history of programs added/removed someplace in XP similar
to the one that chronicles Windows Updates?
