Hello,

Does anybody know how to add passwords to windows and third party programs
so that they can not be opened, closed, or settings changed without a
password?

Passwords can be added to XP user accounts in the Control Panel > User
Accounts applet.
3rd party apps would have to have this functionality built in to them, you
can't add it.

What do you mean by add passwords to windows? XP uses user accounts with
passwords. For 3rd party programs they would need to have that function
built in to them. Some security programs do for changing settings, but to
require a password for a program to run, I don't know of any way.
