Add-in Tab completely disappeared

My problem is as simple as the subject line suggests... the add-in tab in all
of my Office 2007 applications is non-existant. I tried to start Word from
the command-line with the "/a" extension with the hope that maybe some addin
was corrupt, but, no cigar. The add-in tab is still completely nonexistant.
Thank you for your help in advance! It really is appreciated!

Are you talking about the Add-ins tab of Word Options or a tab on the
Ribbon? If the latter, I believe it is not displayed unless you have add-ins
(new or legacy) installed.

Suzanne,
Thanks for your help! Because it wasn't displaying, I assumed that it was
a Word problem, but after reading your reply, I realized that my Endnote
add-in (the only add-in I have) must not be properly installed. I
reinstalled it, and everything works great. Thanks!

I'm glad that was helpful. Since I'm not yet using Word 2007, my attempts to
help with it are usually pretty hamhanded!

Why am I not using Word 2007? Well, for one thing, Word 2003 is adequate for
my needs, and I'm not looking forward to the productivity drop that will
come from starting to use 2007. Still, to be able to support Word 2007
users, I will make the sacrifice (while still keeping Word 2003 available
for my own use) but not until I move into my new computer running Windows
XP. The one I'm on now runs Windows 2000, and Office 2007 can't run under
Windows 2000.

OK well that's a good enough excuse :) I have to say I could not go
back to < Office 2007 - I find it a much more productive environment.
The ribbon's great once you get used to it. And as said, I'd hate to go
back now.

Being an MVP, perhaps your new machine could be a nice 4Gb machine, run
virtual PC or server, (or maybe vmware's better? (better USB support?))
and run XP *and* Vista. And idea for you anyway.

I keep toying with the idea of using VPC, but I'll probably just run Office
2003 and Office 2007 (pieces of them, anyway) side by side until I become a
Word 2007 convert. <g>
