Has anyone used the software, Ad Award by Lavasoft? A friend has suggested I
get it and use it. I have a dial-up connection that isn't always on, so
would it be necessary?

If anyone has used it - is it easy to navigate - or are there issues I
should be aware of?

Thanks!

Hi,

Easy to use, strongly recommended for most users.

Absolutely, follow your friends advice!!
As you surf the web your system will be loaded up with spyware and
eventually slow down to a snails pace, not to mention all of your personal
information being used without your consent. Download Ad Aware and use it
regularly.

Although the program is capable of running in the background, I don't have
my copy set up that way. Instead I run a system scan at least once or twice
a week.

AdAware, not Ad award.

If it's always on, the risk is increased. If it's not, the risk
is lessened, but still not zero. Yes, use it (or one of the other
programs that do similar things).

Just about everyone has Ad-Aware! It detects and removes tracking
"cookies" that are attached by the different websites we visit. Get
it and use it!

Never had any problem with it at all.
I've shocked a few friends by putting it on their pc and they were fairly
amazed at the amount of junk and adware sitting on their systems
