ActiveX security

It seems that just about everything I try to do on that requires some sort of password on the internet is blocked by some unknown activeX controls. I have a friend that knows alot about computers so i went to ask for remote assistance from him and it said i couldn't send that to him either..
This is really starting to annoy and I'm even thinking about Rebooting my entire computer just to get rid of this nonsens
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!

hi,

rebooting your computer will probably not work,
reinstalling will!

Is there a firewall which is blocking it all?
You can set your ActiveX controls in the security tabs of
the options of Internet Explorer.

Maybe that can help.
