hi all, I am encountering some problem. I have set my Internet secuirty
settings to "Low" for Trusted site however, the page still prompt me "ActiveX
is not safe.... ..." Resulting the page is not able to load successfully.

The "Security_HKLM_only" key is also enabled. I am wondering is there any
other settings which will block ActiveX.

Please assist.

Thanks!

Cheers

The only place I know of is control panel | internet options | security tab.
Click internet then custom level. You can set active x settings there. Read
through the options but be aware that seting them too low for all sites
leaves you vulnerable.

Glen, thanks for your response. In fact for this testing, I lowered all
security. However, when I change the option "Security_HKLM_only" to "0", it
works. So I currently can only deduce that I have to check on the Local
Machine security settings.

Do you or anyone can enlighten me on the security settings between HKCU &
HKLM?

Cheers

Hi -
Could it be that you need to check the box in IE/Tools/Internet
Options/Advanced/Security/Allow actice content to run on my computer.
Just a thought - might do the trick!
Cheers,
Brian.

Why would you want to run an Unsafe ActiveX Control? Do you like viruses and
malware? Take a hint.
