I am running windows xp and sometime last year, there was
a security patch that did no properly download on my
system. it was interfering with normal operations, so I
visited the microsoft website, found the error message,
and did the fix. However, this involved
removing "ActiveX" controls on my system. Now, I cant
even download anything from Microsoft. either the page
wont load properly, due to the activex controls being
removed. Does anyone know how to restore the activeX
controls once they have been removed?

Forgot to mention that you should set the various options
to "prompt" for security reasons.
