My Spec
Win Xp SP2

many of the sites i visit displays that ie has blocked an activex which is
unsafe. how to over come that. i know for sure that the sites i visit are
safe.

You could add them to the "Trusted Sites" lst. In IE go to Tools >
Internet Options > Security tab > click on Trusted Sites > click the
"Sites..." button and add the URL to the list.
