Active network connections

I am trying to connect to my Itunes music store but a message keeps saying
that I should check to see if my network connection is active and try again.
How do I do that??

Open a browser and see if you can connect. Are you online? If you can
and are still getting an error, do you have a firewall that is perhaps
blocking iTunes? Otherwise, check with iTunes tech support.
