Active Directory & Oracle

Hi All,

We are running Oracle on Unix(HP). We are on Oracle 8.1.7, but will
move to 9i shortly.

I want to be able to issue queries from within Oracle on Unix to an
Active Directory on a Windows machine.....

Can this be done?

If so, how? I've been searching around, but there does not need to be
anything that clearly explains the steps.....

AD is simply an authenticated LDAP directory, you should probably chat with
Oracle folks and find out if Oracle has the capability to query against LDAP
directories.
