Activation

I upgraded my windows XP towindows Vista home premium a week or so ago. Then
I had some virus problems, etc. So I formated my hard drive and reinstalled
Vista. But now when I try to activate it, it says that my product key is
already in use!! What can i do about thi matter? Thank you!
 
Use the phone-in activation and tell them what happened.
Get a person on the phone, not the automated response.

.... and grovel, grovel, grovel and then grovel somemore, hoping that
MickeyMouse will activate what you already own. If you're unsuccessful, go
out and purchase a new copy. Then don't do anything with YOUR computer that
can get MickeyMouse to once again demand re-activation.

I have the same thing. Lost a hard drive and pick up a new one. Install Vista
and now they tell me the number is in use.

How do I talk to a real man. not E-mail???
