I have loaded Office 2003 onto my laptop, -having loaded and successfully
activated on my desktop. (Allowed 3 installations.)
Eachtime I try to open a document, it indicates document is blocked so I
cannot continue on a new document or even on a previous document.

Any ideas?

It sounds as if you have not activated it on the laptop.

You have to activate Office on each computer that you installed it on.
You activated Office on your desktop, but you probably did not activate
Office on your laptop. On the laptop, start Word, click on Help |
Activate Product, and follow the instructions on the screen.

Hi!
Thanks for the reply.
When I go to 'Help', and then click on 'Activate', nothing happens! No new
windows or places to enter any data/Code no. etc!

This procedure worked fine on the D/Top. I had a 60-day Trial Office on
the L/Top which expired, -I think this maybe the cause; but I cannot now find
it!??

Hi!
Thanks for your reply and help.
When I go to Help, then to Activate, nothing happens, not even if I am
on-line!
No new window appears to ask for any info!!

I did have a 60-Day Trial which expired, -well actually stopped after +/-
30days-, and now I cannot find it! I think this may be causing part of the
problem.

Regards,

Jim Ainley.

You should have uninstalled the trial version before installing your
purchased copy of Office 2003 Students and Teachers Edition. Try
uninstalling the purchased copy, uninstalling the trial version, and
then reinstalling the purchased copy. Start | Control Panel |
Add/Remove Programs...
