activation key, can enter only numbers but not letters??

Last week, I downloaded from microsoft's get ready site the ms vista iso file
and got an activation key. After I burned the downloaded iso file to a DVD,
I started the installation from the DVD.

But when I get to the point, where I'm asked to enter the installation key,
I can only enter numbers but no letters. Since I can not enter the activation
key, which contains both numbers and letters, I can not continue the
installation.

This happens for both 32 versions of vista, the English and the German one.

Sorry for posting the same question repeatedly. But I was told that an error
