Activation Glitch

Hi,
I'm a computer Tech and a customer brought in a computer with a virus that
tore up windows pretty bad. So we repaired windows by installing over the
top. After we got done it asked us to activate it. So we did. That went fine.
Then I installed some updates and rebooted and much to my surprise it asked
me to activate it again before I could log on. It has done this about 5 times
now. Everytime I reboot. I talked to support on the phone and we checked to
see if it was activated after I got into windows and it says it was. So I was
wondering is there anyway to fix this Error?
 
Possible Resolution:

Boot into "Safe Mode" by pressing (F8) during a reboot.

Go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.
