Activation & external hardware question

How much external hardware can you add without having to worry about
activation?

I know Microsoft counts internal.


I am in a dusty area. I have to open the computer at least one a
month. When I do that & replug the printers and gamepad it detects as
new hardware in the usb ports.

That doesn't count for activation purposes.
