I've upgraded my computer with new parts and now everytime at startup Windows
keeps telling me to register even though my Hard Drive from HP a384x has a
built in Windows XP OS. My computer didn't come with a registration key or a
disk, so now I can't even use my computer anymore.

If your HP computer came preinstalled with
the HP OEM version of Windows XP, and
you installed a different motherboard not
manufactured by HP, your HP OEM
Windows XP license is no longer valid.
To correct your problem, you'll need to
purchase a conventional "Full Version"
of Windows XP and perform a "Repair Install".

You mean activation since registration is optional.
Hopefully the new parts do not include a motherboard or if there is a new
motherboard, it came from HP.
If the motherboard is not from HP, you can attempt activating by phone, but
you may not be able to.

The computer should have a Product Key affixed to the computer case, if not,
contact HP.
If the computer is 2nd hand, you may not have a valid Windows XP license
without the Product Key.
