Dell did the activation for you. You don't need to do anything.

Just to double check that all is well you can select Start - All
Programs - Accessories - System Tools and look for an "Activate
Windows" item on that menu. If there is no "Activate Windows" item
and if your Windows XP came preinstalled on the new computer then it
is an SLP or "BIOS Locked" OEM version which is self-activating when
it is installed on a computer with a motherboard BIOS from that
specific OEM (Dell in your case).
