I've got an ACL problem. I had to reinstall XP, so I
copied off some important files to my secondary hard
drive. Then I reformatted and reinstalled. Now I get
access denied on some of the files on the secondary
drive. I named the new user accounts the same as they
were before, but I let the install program name the
computer, and it wasn't the same name. So, even though
I'm using an administrator account, I assume the OS is
saying I'm not an admin on the other disk. Any ideas? I
suppose I could reinstall again and go back to the old
machine name (if I can remember it or find it) but I'd
rather not. If I do have to do something like that, can I
get the old machine name from some visible ACL on the
secondary hard drive? Any help appreciated.

When logged on as Administrator, you can Take Ownership of the
files/folders.
For details, start Help and Support, and type
Take Ownership.
