Hi All,

Please could someone help!

I have an Acer Travel Mate 4150 laptop and when i put in my xp password it
suddenly powers itself off. This happens even when i switch on the machine
and leave it for around 30 seconds without entering the password.

I have not added any new hardware and cannot boot into safemode to get back
to a good known configuration or reset checkpoint.

Please could someone help.
 
This sounds like a hardware problem. If the laptop is still under warranty
check with Acer.
 
Ditto, unless you are running on the battery (is the power adapter plugged
in?) and it has run down.
