Start>Help and Support
Under Pick a Task......choose...Undo changes to your computer with system
restore and follow the self explanatory directions. Restore if you can back
to as close a time as possible to just before you accidently deleted your
files if you can remember exactly when that was. Or at least roughly, so you
don't undo to many changes.

Sadly System Restore will not restore your files. If
however, if you happen to have Norton Utilities on your
computer, there may be hope.
If you have Norton
1 Right click on the Recycle Bin
2 Chose Restore from the "Norton Protected..."
3 follow the on screen prompts.
Good Luck.

If the files are incredibly important there are companies
that can retrieve them, but at a price.

Sorry, in my haste I neglected to notice the "emptied the recycling bin"
part. No, system restore certainly won't help there, but there are lots of
file recovery programs out there. Freeware and pay and payalot ware.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I have used OnTrack Data Recovery with
excellent results.
