I have two computers on a network. This network only allows me to share
shares files and folders. What configurationi would I use so that I have
access to all the files and folders. Also what would I do if i want to
control the 2nd computer, that is give no one administrative rights on that
computer. I want to make that a part of the computer im using. The OS is XP
Service Pack 2. Please help me.

You cannot use resources (memory, CPU, peripherals) over a network link.
You can share files and folders, printers, and sometimes a few other
devices, but you cannot make two computers work as one over a network.

I would suggest that you refer to the Help and Support files that come with
Windows XP for the rest of your questions, or head to the library/bookstore
and get a beginner's guide to networking and computer configuration.

Unfortunately, the last time Mickeysoft included a decent book was back with
Windows 3.1. Much of the Help & Support files were written by programmers
for programmers and pretty much meaningless to mere mortals. If they were
any good, this newsgroup wouldn't exist. Even with a couple of good books
from someplace like Amazon.com, you'll be going back and forth between them
because no single book will give you what you're looking for. Much of
learning XP will be by trial and error because information is sadly lacking.
The good part is, you'll remember the solution to things that gave you
trouble and kept you awake past midnight.
