H
HELP!!!!
I am trying to setup a remote connection to a Windows XP
Pro. pc. I have it checked off to allow remote
connections. When I attempt to connect it will bring up
the login window and authenticate... I will see all the
icons for about 1 second... then they all dissapear and
all I can see is the background or wallpaper. Has anyone
ever encountered this? Does anyone have any suggestions?
Things I sohuld mention.
1) I have read that having a password protected screen
saver on the XP machine hosting the remote connection will
cause that, so I changed the screen saver and removed the
password protection, but it did not help.
2) The XP machine uses a Matrox Parhelia video card with
dual monitors, so it crossed my mind that maybe it was
showing us the secondary desktop, however that is also not
the case, as I dragged a couple of icons on to that
desktop with the same result when connecting from a remote
machine.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in
advance!
