Hi,

I switched the OS on my home PC from Win2K to XP Prof by
adding a new disk, setting it up as the primary disk, and
installing XP on it. From the admin user I've set up on
Win XP, I cannot access protected folders from my earlier
Win 2K account present on the secondary disk. Since I have
username/password for the older account, is there a way I
can import account information from the second disk to
access my old folders?

Thanks!

Protected in what sense?

If you mean you just don't have the NTFS permissions to access the files,
turn off simple file sharing, then you should be able to access the security
tab on those folders and take ownership.
