Accessing MS Office Live (http) emails via Windows Mail?

I have a MS Office Live Basic account. I gather this does not support the
POP3 email system.

Has anyone found a way to access such HTTP emails using Windows Mail as I
don't want to change to Windows Live Mail if possible.

If not, can anyone suggest any other options - other than direct access
using a browser?

Thanks,

V

Does your email address end in @live.com?

What is your objection to Windows Live Mail?

Hi Gary

Yes it does end in @live.com.

I tried it before (on your recommendation I think!) but did not like the
interface etc as much as Windows Mail - so uninstalled it. I guess it just
comes down to personal preference...

Sometimes it's a matter of choosing between the lesser of two evils. :-)
At least WLM will accommodate your @live.com account.

Is there really no other alternative e.g. using FreePOPs with WM or even
using Thunderbird?

If there are alternatives to accommodating a http-based live.com
account, I'm not aware of them.

FreePOPs looks interesting... http://www.freepops.org/en/ - has anyone used
it for what I want to do? It certainly appears to enable Hotmail to be
accessed via Windows Mail.

Also, I wonder if any of the email services which enable one to aggregate
other providers' emails onto the same account, AND support POP3, would
enable me to access my @live.com emails?
