I'm in Australia using Optus cable - any one else got this problem? I'm
also using a Netgear FR114P router (with latest rev of software)to the
cable modem. PCs have Windows XP Home and OL2003 going to a Hotmail
account. All other internet access functions are working fine.
I turned on logging in OL with the following occuring for each failed
attempt at a send/recieve:
Microsoft Internet Messaging API 6.00.2800.1165

If it helps, here is the "first run" log:

This is all gibberish to me! If anyone can shed some light on this, or
ask me to try somethings out, it would be much appreciated. I have also
turned off email scanning by NAV, just to see, but it made no
difference.
Thanks and kind regards, JP

This problem is just more likely to crop up inside a corporation
than for a
home user. As I said, the likely cause is that a proxy server or
firewall
that sits between you and Hotmail does not understand the HTTP/DAV
protocol
(http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2518.txt). It may be that your ISP
recently
installed such a proxy server or firewall - contact them and find
out.
