My virus scan is telling me that I have a virus in the
System Volume Information folder but is unable to delete,
clean, or quarantine it. I have enabled myself to see
the folder in windows explorer; however, when I double
click on the folder it tells me, "C:\System Volume
Information is not accessible.
Access is denied"

What gives? I'd like to manually go in there and delete
the file with the virus if at all possible. If nothing
else I may just delete whole folder to get rid of
problem...I'm assuming it's possible to reinstall this
portion of windows with my Windows CD.

You could try a different virus scan program. AVG is a free one you can
dowload.

Hi,

You can't. What you need to do, is disable System Restore, run the scanner,
then enable System Restore.

To show System Volume Information

Go to: Windows Explorer/Tools/Folder Options/View/Show Hidden File and
Uncheck Hide Protected Operating System Files.

Then go to: C:\System Volume Information
