accessing database

I developed an interactive client VB app which updates
data in an ms access database. Currently the VB app
connects to the database using a file share. Now the file
share ahs been disabled. I cannot use ODBC since the VB
app runs on many clients simultaneously.

I think you'll need to explain a bit more.

How have file shares been disabled? I don't believe it's possible to share
data without having shares.

And why do you think that you can't use ODBC just because multiple clients
are running it simultaneously?
