Accessing a folder that has been protected after re-installing XP

I have a problem. I have a home computer with three profiles. For my profile, I protected the "My Documents" so that when others log on to their profile, they cannot view my files. Recently, I've experienced a major slowdown and suspected a virus or a spyware that uses a lot of resources. I saved all of my personal files on my other drive and re-installed XP. After my cleanup and reinstall, I created the exact same three profiles as before. My problem is that I now cannot access the "My Documents" that I have protected from the previous installation. Is there anything I can do to remove the protection? Even the Administrator account cannot access this folder. I've tried to remove the protection using a command line which I found on Microsoft's website but no luck either. Please help me. Thanks!

This article describes how to take ownership of a file or folder
to which you have been denied access:
