If the admin does not currently have any permissions to access the folder he will
have to take ownership first. Of course that only applies to the current operating
system. Someone could put the hard drive or boot into another operating system or
restore from a backup to gain access without changing ownership on the current folder
in the current operating system. Encryption is the only way to prevent unauthorized
access to data, but has it's own risks and should not be used by someone unfamiliar
with the basic technology behind it including the concept of public and private keys
and how to manage them. --- Steve
